We want to have a positive impact on the environment, recycle ocean plastic (Ocean Stopped Material) sustainably and share our values. Our vision is to rid the ocean of plastic waste and create a closed material loop. Eco-friendly e-commerce and raising awareness of resource efficiency together helps us take a good step towards a sustainable future.

We founded The Ocean Package to combine responsible business and environmental protection. Our goal is to develop sustainable solutions that are both efficient and environmentally friendly. We focus on the effective use of our resources, the reduction of ocean plastic (Ocean Stopped Material) and the optimisation of logistical processes through advanced software and products. Our belief is that profit and sustainability can go hand in hand.
Local start-up - international ambitions
We are a young company from Munich with the aim of making e-commerce greener. Our approach: reusable packaging made of recycled polypropylene that can be used 20 times longer than conventional cardboard packaging. Our goal: to promote sustainable alternatives in the packaging industry and thus make our contribution to environmental protection.

Green Packaging: How our reusable shipping box protects the environment
We have developed an innovative reusable shipping box that helps to protect the environment. Using this box reduces single-use packaging waste, helping to reduce plastic waste in the oceans. It is made of sustainable materials and can be used multiple times, which significantly reduces waste production.

Through a well-designed circular economy, we avoid further litter in the ocean. And by working with local start-ups, whether in South America or Asia, we support the reduction of plastic waste in the ocean, rivers and many other endangered lands.

We are constantly working on new solutions
Whether tracking the packages via EAN code, or individualising the reusable boxes. We don’t just work on the sustainability of our products. It is precisely this idea that makes our shipping boxes so much better than conventional cardboard boxes and other shipping boxes.

We started working with the Ellen McArthur Foundation Community in 2022 to continue on our path to expand our international network for sustainable development in a targeted way.

We, Joshua and Philip are the founders of The Ocean Package.
We have been working day and night on our concept over the last two and a half years and have been able to successfully test our packaging and software together with Outfittery in the fall of 2022. As managing directors we mainly deal with the areas, sales, product development, IT as well as networking and team building!
