Bits & Pretzels in a nutshell:
Before we dive into our own experience, let us briefly explain what Bits & Pretzels actually is. Bits & Pretzels is one of the largest startup events in the world. Here, more than 5,000 founders, investors and industry leaders come together to exchange ideas and learn from each other. The list of speakers reads like a Who’s Who of the world: Michelle Obama, Robert Habeck and many more inspiring minds. Unfortunately, we have to say that Robert Habeck did not appear despite his announcement.
A Sunday of networking
On the first day of the event, a sunny Sunday, we were there as visitors. We took this opportunity to network with a wide range of people and the response was overwhelming. It is impressive to see how Bits & Pretzels brings people from different industries and cultures together to exchange ideas and experiences.
Monday - A stand with reusable shipping boxes
On Monday, the time had come. We had our own stand at Bits & Pretzels, where we proudly presented our innovative reusable shipping boxes. Our mission to promote sustainable packaging solutions fell on open ears. The crowd was literally overwhelming and the enthusiasm for our solutions filled us with pride.
A touch of Oktoberfest in the Schottenhammel tent:
On 26 September, a special event crowned our days at Bits & Pretzels: the event in the Schottenhammel tent at the Oktoberfest. Bits & Pretzels had rented the entire tent and we were able to sit at tables and have conversations, much like speed dating. This relaxed atmosphere encouraged deep discussions and helped us build valuable relationships.
No long journey - Munich is our home!
Another highlight was the fact that we didn’t have a long journey. Munich is our home and it was great to see our local startup community shine on the international stage.
An unforgettable experience
Bits & Pretzels 2023 was an unforgettable experience for The Ocean Package. We shared our passion for reusable shipping boxes and sustainability while making valuable contacts. The event showed that the startup world is ready to support sustainable solutions and create a better future together.
